he has SO much potential. he takes so many creative chances with his music. i love his sampling...and he's so real with everything. i can definitely connect to him...i can definitely appreciate any artist who has fun with their music and takes chances.

...as far as the people whose opinion on music i respect are concerned...that is the MOST common thing said in regards to Charles Hamilton.....
i think it might stem from the fact that at least in the beginning of his short ass career people weren't really sure if this dude was for real or just some front/gimmick
(i mean he can rhyme...but that's whatever...)
ESPECIALLY with the whole pink thing + "Sonic = the ENTIRE philsophy of my Life" thing...that killed me since the only connection my childhodd had to Mario was with the original game boy, but besides that i was STRICTLY 100% seag/sonic
but the more and more i'm startin to hear from this dude he starts to look like a legit artist...i've seen clips of him rockin out on the guitar and paino the difference between him and an entertainer (soulja boy for argument sake)....is that an entertainer ONLY entertains (DUH!!) but an artist makes you think (or connect with some emotion) AND can entertain you at the same time
relevant note: my professor once said that above all "an artist is obligated to tell the Truth"....you can still tell the truth whether you lived a scenario or not (ie gangsta rap)...that's the only thing i took away from junior year but it was worth it... cause that is the criteria i base artistc integrity on...Truth
